Founded in 2023, Velocity Agriculture and Holly Bottom Farms began as a small family farm in rural Georgia. Over the years, we've grown into a full-service farming business.

The story of  Velocity Agriculture and Holly Bottom Farms isn’t just about farming — it’s about survival, healing, and finding purpose through the soil.

In 2019, on New Year’s Eve, I found myself lying in a hospital bed, fighting a severe intestinal infection that nearly took my life. I remember my doctor sitting beside me and saying something that changed everything:

“The food you’re eating — the processed, chemical-laden convenience food — is slowly killing you. Go back to eating clean, natural food. Go back to the way your grandparents grew it.”
 

Those words struck me to my core. I realized how far we’ve drifted from the way food was meant to be grown — from the land, with care, not chemicals  or feed lots.  After months of recovery, I came home determined to change everything. But when I looked out over my land, what I saw was discouraging — sandy, lifeless soil that refused to grow even the hardiest crops.

Still, I wasn’t ready to give up. I decided to start small. I added compost teas, wood chips, and natural amendments. I brought in animals — sheep, goats, cows, hogs, and chickens — each one becoming part of a living system designed to heal the land. The hogs turned and fertilized the soil, the goats cleared the brush, the sheep grazed and cycled nutrients, and the chickens scratched the ground, spreading fertility and keeping pests in check.

Slowly, life returned. The soil began to breathe again. Grasses grew tall, gardens thrived, and the land — like me — began to heal.

That’s when I realized farming wasn’t just about producing food. It was about restoring balance, reconnecting with creation, and renewing the bond between people, animals, and the earth.

Today, Velocity Agriculture and Holly Bottom Farms  stands as a reflection of that journey — a place where soil health, animal welfare, and human wellness come together in harmony. Every choice we make here is rooted in regeneration: healing the land, nurturing life, and growing food the way nature intended.

This isn’t just a farm. It’s a testament to faith, perseverance, and the power of starting over. And it’s my hope that when you visit, taste our food, or simply hear our story, you’ll feel what I felt — that deep reminder that healing begins in the soil.
